69A-CAR Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Hello all, I have a couple questions about new (2011+) KW C500 and C550 trucks built for Canadian oil work. I included a link to a truck paper add, http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=2588437& What I am trying to determine is the suspension type, the front obviously has no offset, but it looks like a tubular axle / trailing arm set up?? I am just gathering some information for a future project, I am going to do an older and more traditional C500 next. Well any info or links on these type trucks would be much appreciated. Thanks, Mark
69A-CAR Posted July 9, 2011 Author Posted July 9, 2011 On Kenworths website heres alot of info about the c500. http://www.kenworth.com/2100_vir_c500.asp Here is some more information on Kenworths website about the c500 http://www.kenworth.com/6500_arc_pre_mor.asp?file=2553 On truck paper looking at a 1982 KENWORTH C500 it has a walking beam suspension. A few other 70's and 80's c500's say they have a camelback suspension, hendrickson, chalmers, walking beam and rubber block suspension. Hope this helps a little bit. Im sure somebody here that actually knows something about the c500 can help with your questions. Thanks for the information Justin. Mark
