Just got back into modeling ,and I seen on here that most use "Bondo" 2 part glazing & spot putty . It seams to bond with the strine OK but don't stick to the CA that is a rough build up. is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

This is true of nearly any thing you put epoxy (2-part) filler on: You need to rough-up the surface to give the filler a "tooth" to grip the parts you're applying it to. That's the sole down side of 2-part fillers...without the solvents they don't "dig in" on their own.

You can help your cause by shooting some primer where you're going to put the filler, and do a nice scuff-job with some rougher grit paper or sanding sticks to give it something to bite into.

You don't have to prime and then rough up the primer... you can just rough up the bare plastic. Same idea... give the filler something to lock on to.
