Here's a project I've been working on. It's using the AMT Pro Street body with the Pro Sportsman Chassis.

The chassis is only for mockup, I'm not using it on the final model.

I'll probably paint it a very glossy black. It'll also have a VERY tall cowl hood

Also, which class would a car like this run? Can't be Pro Mod, since it's got the stock body and it's naturally aspirated.

Thanks for looking,

Andy

Thanks Randy!

The chassis fits great-although I'll have to move the engine up a little bit. Also, the tube chassis hangs out of the front which could be corrected with a bit of cutting.

Any particular reason you're not using that chassis Andy? I know the fit is pretty good, looks like you've done a good job of cutting the doors out too. As for class a lot depends on the chassis and engine configuration but check out the pump gas shootout cars on YouTube or the psca (pro street car association ) 6 and 7 second race cars that are still street legal or at least close to it.

Irlocke, if I remember correctly you just need to shorten the very back of the floorpan (where the batteries are).

Thanks Brett, this chassis is from my built '55 Pro Sportsman. I'll get another kit and build up the chassis again, probably with a different roll cage.

Basically what I'm going for is a full-blown race car with a bracket racing feel.

Also, should I use airshift or levers?

Thanks Chris, I'm really into the cars like these
