I am getting ready to do my first airbrush paintjob on a AMT R685St that I am building. I am planning on doing a two tone paintjob using Tamiya flat acrylics then gloss clearcoat . I was thinking about using a liquid mask to mask out my second color. I just need to find out what brand of liquid mask is the best to use and if it will work fine over acrylic paints. Has anyone out there have any experience using it, and what brand of liquid mask I should use? Keith

I use ambroid pro mask, the good thing is once it is dry it can be trimmed to the shape you want and it will leave a crisp seperation line between colors I recomend you apply it thick as it comes off better in the end than a thin layer.

I use Bob Dively brand...But unless your doing something unusual use a good masking tape like Tamiya.(burnish the edges)

You will need multiple coats and they have to dry, then you will need to trim your edges. Then when your done you have to remove the mask...a trick here is to imbed a small piece of tape between coats this will allow you to pull off the mask. I shoot lots of tutones and will tell you that tape is the way!
