crazyjim Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Here's my Citrus Coupe. Why citrus? The body is painted in HOK candy tangerine; interior is mango and cream with orange flocking; running boards are mango; frame is cream; suspension conponents are cream & mango. I tried to really detail this build with heater hoses, AC lines, fuel lines, throttle linkage, oil & trans dipsticks. The hood sides were opened up and a piece of Evergreen glued in.
brett Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 NIIIICEE! color suits it beautifully Jim, excellent work (again)
crazyjim Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 Thank you, Brett. Probably my best ever build.

crazyjim Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 Hey thanks, Neal. That's 53 years of practice to finally get one right. Plan on seeing you tomorrow morning.
MonoPed Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 And it was built in Citrus County... Nice work, Jim!
crazyjim Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 Yes it was, Brian, and thank you. Didn't even think of that. You planning on coming to the model car club meeting tomorrow morning at the Hobby Lobby up in Ocala? 10:00am.
Nova-ss Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 WOW nice work on this coupe.I love the love.built very looking.Thank you,Chris
crazyjim Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 WOW. I really appreciate the positive comments, guys.
LAone Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 hey jim, thats a real beauty. i like the color, it fits the description.
crazyjim Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 Thanks Luis. A Ferrari engine might have been nice in it.
jphillips1970 Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Another great build there Jim - Joe PS: slicks are on there way
funhouse1 Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 That is really beautiful, looks very nice in that color. I have that kit somewhere and really hadn't given much thought to building it until now...
Ryan S. Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 That's a beauty for sure. Great color combo and the details on the engine look real good.
crazyjim Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 Thank you all very much. It's a wonderful kit except for the interior. I prefer an interior tub where 1 unit slides up into the body. On this kit you glue the door panels & dashboard in and then the floor board, seats, and truck seperator.
Oldboychas Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 That's just jaw-dropping beautiful !!!!! Thanks for sharing it with us. Charlie
crazyjim Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 Holy cow! Thank you fellas. Believe it or not, the little shiny pieces on the heater & AC hoses are necklace bead things. I found them in 4 sizes at Hobby Lobby. I refuse to pay the too high price for scale AN fittings.
Agent G Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 DAYUM THAT'S NICE! emoticon indicating dropped jaw and bugged eyes here G
Chuck Most Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Yummy- so citrus-y sweet it's burning my nose! I love it all, but I have to say the underhood detailing is fantastic.
Kit Basher Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Sa-weet! Gorgeous paint, beautiful detail. Nice job!
