ok i made the mistake of using testors clear and it needs to be stripped....the body has spent the last 3 days in the purple pond...all the paint that was on the inside of the body with no clear came off...but it had no effect on the paint under the clear...thanks...

How old is the Purple Pond? If it's old and has been used a lot, it loses it potency.

If new PP isn't doing it, try sanding the whole body with 600 grit sandpaper. This opens up the clear coat and allows the PP to get under it.

Easy-Off Oven Cleaner (yellow can). If you want it completely stripped, this will do it.
