John Teresi Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 (edited) Hello.......this is on the work bench.........I was looking thru my GREAT MCM magazines and I came across a "Sketch Pad" article of artist Mike Lomaka`s "Italivette"........well this past year at "GSL" everyone got a free Revell" Penske" Racing model......... and a couple of years ago at the "Citrus Nationals" I won this Revell Ferrari in a raffle.......so since I already have doubles of these models ..........I decide to build mike Lomaka`s "Italivette".........I know I just finished the 'Cosma Ray' Corvettte......but,this really caught my eye........thank`s for looking. LAone Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 i gotta say, it looks nice. looking forward to some more.
made007 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Lol , i think that ferrari its gonna suffer son serious kit bashing
sjordan2 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 The Italivette roofline also looks a bit like the Mercedes SLS AMG.
Tony T Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I'm sure Enzo is rolling in his grave!! Looks like a great subject, John. Looking forward to following the build!
Nitrozilla Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I dunno John......kinda looks like it needs a big ol' honkin' blower stickin outa da hood. But then again, I think EVERYTHING should have at least one supercharger. And maybe a pair of machine guns poppin up from behind those headlights. OOOOHHHHHH !! And a top fuel type spoiler..... Or, you can just build it the way you want to. Have fun with it sir, I know we will.
Mooneyzs Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I am looking forward to seeing this build. John with your skills I know this is going to turn out awesome. I can't wait to see the progress.
Len Woodruff Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 This will be interesting, very interesting.
jeff ewaskey Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Well John, I have to say this looks like a very cool build idea. Just recently finished reading through your Jag and Matador builds as well as some other builds and have no doubt this will be "AWESOME!" Impatiently waiting for more. Lol
Ryan S. Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Yeah...this should be pretty good. Looking forward to watching this come together. You going to go mid-engine with it?
Danno Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 It needs bubble tops. Oh, wait ... (Emoticon indicating 'Oh, boy! Here we go again!' here.)
John Teresi Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 Hello.......I worked on the body today........opened up the fenders for the headlights.......stretched the rear end.......modified the hood and side panels.......lowered the roof line at slight angle.......made a front spoiler but, I need to do a little more work to it.......I also need to do a little work on the roof......the body is still in the ruff stages......thank`s for looking.
Harry P. Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I hope Mike Lomaka sees this! He's going to be very pleased...
Nitrozilla Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 That poor innocent Corvette has no idea what's happening to it. It's going, like, "He's chopping me up !! What's going on? AHHHHH !!!" Don't worry 'lil 'vette, you're in the hands of a master.
Dr. Cranky Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 This thing is going to be wicked! Can't wait to see more!
sak Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Badass !!! What kind of glue did you use on that pillar? I would imagine something super tough. You would have had to pull the front of the roof forward as well as down to make it fit no?
bigmikevee Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Hey John Mama mia, datsa spicy 'vette!! Very nice, can't wait to see more. Thanks for posting. Mike

Jeff.......I used super glue.......and added a piece of styrene in the inside of the joining pillar`s........for extra strength.......then sanded flat......thank`s.
bigmikevee Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Hey John, What do you use for filler? I have tried super glue for small areas, but mixed results. Just curious. The roof looks great, this is a cool, cool ride. Thanks. Mike
