Hi Don,

nice work to this point, but not my thing.

The first picture is a very bad example and i'm sure, that this kind of shining of a interior only make kids.

i dont know, if the work on interior with suede (or anything else) gives a real effect. All suede you choose is too fat/thick or call it what ever.

expect the thickness of the material you choose on the size of the originals and you will see, that it doesn't work. On scale like 1/12 or bigger it could work.

Also the speaker looks now unreal. Why? The panels are also to thick. If i should cut out such a good detailed speaker like this, i would reduce the thickness of the panel too. If i choose the original, i put bmf on the original speaker and imagine the recesses in black. That will give me a more realistic look.

Roul said it correct: "...nobody looks in there unless it is pointed out. If it is a convertible then it gets noticed. The paintjob stands out first and then the engine. "

Thats the fact.

The interiors, that Mike shows for example are well done. Good paintjob with (almost) flat colors and detailing the air nozzles, belts, radio and/or dash and at last a flocking of the carpet are enough for a real look.

I will not make your work bad! I doubt, that make such a consuming interior nobody sees. It is only my opinion - has nothing to do with your detailwork.

Work on, Don! I watch your work - perhaps to get inspirations ;)

I am glad you are thinking out side of the box, keep going on it . I see the car you are building is a hard top and it's a custom.

Just a thought, you could make a convertible, T-top or a Opera top. a Opera top is cutting the front half of the top off over the drivers area. This way you can show of all your hard work.
