Hey all: Maybe you are aware of this stuff. But today at Hobby Lobby I found this Krylon Glitter Spray. It is clear with fine glitter in it. Like the Dupli-color Glitter Effects spray. I bought two cans, #403 Resplendant red and #405 Magical Multicolor. The first one is red flakes. It came out great over a red base. The multicolor flakes I sprayed over Dupli-color Mystify Purple-green-blue color change. The effect of the multicolor flakes is outstanding. The spray nozzles spray too fast. I will try a nozzle from a Testors can later. Or you could decant it to spray with an airbrush. At $4.99 a can it was worth the try. It's also available with silver or gold flakes. Aaron Dupont

I'm getting ready to go down to my bench right now. I'll check out the flake size again. The red may be a little large. But the texture did not seen to thick. But I misted it on. The spray is really heavy. The multi-colored flake seemed smaller in size. But I remember painting 1 to 1 cars with large flake in the late 60's. The flake was giant! It used to take about 20 or 30 coats of clear to cover the flake smoothly. That's why when you see an old flake job that is coming off due to bad prep, it's about 1/16th thick. I'll keep you posted.
