surfjunke Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 This started out as an old 1/43rd Mikeansue white metal kit I received from one of my clients a few years ago. It was built & painted. Mikeansue kits were from England & were made back in the late 70's & early 80's. After taking the Porsche apart & sanding the paint smooth, the work began by making a new interior from Evergreen plastic. Made a full roll cage, resin seats with 5 point harnesses, Tameo etched pedals, Renaissance steering wheel & a new dash with recessed gauges. Also made wheel wells to stop the see though look. The body got the smoothing treatment. Rescribed all panel lines. Made new bumpers with steel pins for locating/gluing. The headlights were drilled out & modified to accept MV lenses. The new covers were vac formed. The rear grills came from the parts box. I was able to use the original vac glass after it was cut up as individual pieces. The wheels are an old set from Robustelli. Paint is from the old Poly Scale metalizer acrylic range, Anodized aluminum. Could mix this color with silver & blue.
surfjunke Posted September 18, 2011 Author Posted September 18, 2011 That's strange. I did add pics to this post. I do not know what I did wrong. Very sorry everyone.
