I am in the process of building the newly boxed AMT 70 1/2 Camaro. (AMT-635) Somehow, the driver side spindle came loose along with the back side of the rim and fell toward the floor. Well, somehow, it never made it all the way to the floor and has completely vanished. I can replace the wheel from the parts box with no problem. (Worse come to worse, I'll go bigger) The problem is, I don't have the scratch building abilities to build a new spindle due to its size. Does anyone know of another kit that uses the same front spindles or one that will fit in its place?

Is it sad that I easily figured out that the AMT 62 Belair Kit has a front roll pan than can be modified to a rear roll pan for a sport side Chevy but can't do this? Sadly, I did the roll pan thing like 10-15 years ago and still can't scratch a little spindle. Maybe I should order some Millput and cast one from the other?

Steve, did you use a small drill bit and run a pin through that lower control arm, sprue, and chasis? That does look pretty easy but, going that route is going to look goofy because the upper and lower control arms are not equal length on the Camaro. Since I'm not good at scratching tiny items, I may still have to go this route. I actually found another set of wheels with two spindles attached (what they go to, I don't remember) and may just find a way to replace them both with these from the parts box.
