PARTSMARTY Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 (edited) simple question.is all or most tamiya spray paint enamel or lacquer?also are hi gloss clears from dupont,rustoleum,valspar,etc...to hot to spray over model paint<colors>?also is krylon & rust-oleum enamel or lacquer? thanks for any answers marty Edited November 8, 2011 by PARTSMARTY
LoneWolf15 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Marty , Krylon and Rustoleum are enamels . Using different clears over hobby paint can be a hit or miss proposition ! I stick to the Testors enamels straight across the board , both paint and the clear . This way , I have no worries when it comes to the compatability with the plastic . As for the Tamiya line , Mike Mc or Bob Downie will have a better answer for you . I don't use the product . Donn Yost Lone Wolf Custom Painting
