Sixx Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I'd have to look but somebody does that in 1/24th scale!! I want that one!
Terry Sumner Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 The 1/24th scale kit isn't that nice. The best P-51 kit is the new Tamiya one in 1/32 scale. And the best place to buy airplane models is Sprue Brothers. Good prices and absolutely the best lightning fast service anywhere! http://www.spruebrothers.com/ I have no connection to them but I buy all my airplane models and accessories there that I don't pick up at a show...

Mike Kucaba Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 WOW! I knew plane kits prices were high, but not like this. I'm sure it's worth it though with Tamiya's quality. I checked Great models and they were even higher priced!!
Agent G Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Mike, Tamiya's prices darn near doubled over the last year. New releases are now just as, if not more, expensive than DML, Tasca, Hasegawa, or Trumpeter. It used to be a newbie armor builder bought a few relatively cheap Tamiya kits at first. After feeling comfortable they then invested a few more $$ for a newer tool, more accurate (read complicated) kit. There's no difference in price anymore, yet Tamiya's kits stand the test of time as far as I'm concerned. G
Terry Sumner Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Absolutely...the last few years new releases by Tamiya have set the industry standard!
Harry P. Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Wow, that's a great site! And a nice selection of 1/32 WWI plane kits (my favorites!)
