57peppershaker Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Got a couple of old wrecks on the build bench, how do I make the tyres look flat ?
SuperStockAndy Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Put the tires under a candle to get them warm, then smash them on the table on the warm spot
Edsel-Dan Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Best use a Hollow tire for that plan. A Solid will Burn before you get it warm enough to 'Deflate' that way. Also, Insert front & rear rim pieces or a long tube of correct diameter to hold the center round when Deflating, and be able to hold the tire
57peppershaker Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 Thanks Guys, I'll try it on some scrap tyres. The tube idea sounds better Dan & no having run fingers under the cold tap lol
1957dodgeregent Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 (edited) take some large scissors, cut a section from the outside of the tire, and smoothe it down, then glue the rim and hubcap back on Edited December 2, 2011 by 1957dodgeregent
