the future of AMT

Anybody out there know anything about what's going on with AMT? I have heard they are for sale and so far no one has stepped up to buy. The first kits I built in 1958 were AMT's. I have enjoyed most of their kits that interested me enough to pay for them. I would hate to think we could lose this great old company and have the molds end up who knows where in the future. I hope for the best for AMT. Most of the truck builds I have done, are from AMT. I hope they find a buyer. I would hate to see them go.
