road_warrior05 Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Hello all. My name is John and I'm new to the forum. I've been looking at various builds on this site for about a week now and I must say that I'm truly amazed. I was into modeling cars a lot when I was younger but I didn't really have any good tools or paint. My workbench is also very small being that its just a computer desk. There are a few models that I am currently working on though: '57 Bel Air, '67 Mustang Fastback, General Lee Charger, and I'm redoing my FnF Supra. I'll post up some pics of everything when I get some batteries for my camera.
diymirage Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 welcome abaord John the best tools are patience, a sharp Xacto and some sandpaper those 3 things are really the bassis of great models but keep in mind you will get better with every model you build
road_warrior05 Posted December 22, 2011 Author Posted December 22, 2011 Thanks guys. I do need to invest in a good hobby knife since I'm just working with a big pocket knife and I have plenty of sandpaper from when I was doing body work on some 1:1s.
