The Modeling Hermit Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I ran into the same thing a few years ago. I wanted to try something different to model, so I thought I would try planes. I also found them boring, but felt if I just pushed through a couple, I might spark an interest. I built 2 or 3, and then went back to trucks and cars, and actually found that I had increased my appreciation for that which I do enjoy modeling. My foray into planes did get one of my sons to building them, and he loves them. I can understand why you're attempting to continue building, but once done with it, take some time to evaluate your efforts.
Rob McKee Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Bored by the subject matter? Or bored by the kit itself. If the subject matter bores me, I never let that stop me having fun with the kit. Not a fan of '57 Chevys or Novas, but I still had a blast on both of these things. Those are awesome! I can't say I ever got bored with a build. I guess it is because I buy only what I am interested in. I have been frustrated to no end at times. Some of those kits met a very nasty ending.
