Green Duster Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Made for one of those garage kits. With my own personal twists. Hope you guys like. Thanks, Brian.
trogdor Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Wow, I used to own one of those 79 LeBaron wagons, same color too . I had no idea there was a model available. Who makes it ?
Eshaver Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Brian, the diorama looks to be a "Modified " M R C Texaco station . I'm not impressed by it's contents as the building only contains a "Partial " building . Uh No wall on the "Shop side , no rear wall. It's way over priced for what you can easily scratch build . The pumps , well semblences of anyway , are supposed to be Wayne 505's . First, they're a scale foot too tall. secondly the Fishbowl lenses wern't ever used on a 1-1 pump. Meanwhile , if thats not enough to fustrate you into oblivion, there is the "OBSOLETE " lift . Yes , that turkey wasn't used in most shops after 1930. Secondly, getting the pieces off the sprue .............. GOOD LUCK. Hey, if you really need a plan to do a former Service station diorama in 1-25th scale , P- M me and i'll just send the measurements in a manilla envelope to you . Ed Shaver
Green Duster Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 Hey, i got the kit givin to me. My cousin was working out of a garage back in the 70's just like it. It was just reversed. Maybe thats why I like it so much. I can see a small time resto guy working out of a shop like that. Wish it could be me. The same shop my cousin had is 10 miles from me. Wish I had the funds to be able to play out of it. This will work for me for the time been. I still think your a great guy Ed!
Green Duster Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 Hey, Trogder. The LeBaron is an old Motor Max unit. Have had it for quite a while. Check the evil bay place. you might find one. Good luck. Brian
