Psychographic Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I made some tires out of styrene for a current build and need to paint them. I've seen some very realistic resin tires and was hoping someone had some tips on what they used for paint and the process used to paint them. The tires are for a dirt track car and I want them to appear in motion while the car is racing, so some dirt and mud might help. Thanks, Dave
Mike Kucaba Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 One paint you might try is Testor's rubber. It's in the small 1/4 oz bottle. Over the years I have seen many tires that were painted and most were done with shades of grays.
SuperStockAndy Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 There was a tutorial on doing that exact thing on one of the sites...can't remember where though
