regular guy Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 (edited) here's a pic of a custom car show. i think to build a model of one of these it's a good idea to get the Squadron Green putty or Testor's Putty. i don't know which one sticks on the best. they used a lot of 'candy' paint on these cars then. some of the kits have customizing parts but to do it right it takes putty. car in bottom of picture is a Studebaker. the stainless band on roof means it's a Speedster model. i'd like to see more builds like this here. Old Sprinter Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Those are neat cars and you don't find that many guys out there building classics like that. Perhaps you should build one. I believe there are some great kits available or atleast bodies, frames and motors. I have found Squadron Pruducts fast drying white putty or green putty the best for most applications. Be sure to post your build; I'll be looking foward to seeing it. Ken
