hehe i know, but over the last 5 years I started to learn how to work with it. But since the last forumupdate, the search engine started playing again. I guess he has me checkmate, although I have found that you can still beat it, but it does cost a lot of effort to find something.

Especially when you don't know exactly the title of a topic.

Ah well, Probably have to get to learn how to use it in the next 5 years :P

You hit it 100% Erik.....the title does have to be exact....sometimes if you search the OP posts (if you can remember)

I bookmark a lot......does eat up space though! And By the time you figgure it out , we will get another update!

And here is where it goes wrong, when you search on original poster by find content, it only gives you one year of posts or topics. But when I need to find some old topics of mine, I have to search through the pages on the board self, to find it haha.

Not that it is a big problem, just a little bit inconvenient.

and you are right haha: when we do figure it out, we get a new update

The Search function isn't limited to a year.

It works by key words, like most all search functions. And you can click on "Ascending" or "Descending" to put the search results in order either from newest to oldest post, or vice versa.

Must have low expectations then because it really sucks unless you want to read a ton of unrelated ###### just to find what you want!

Most all search functions work via keywords. You type in a word or two describing what you're looking for, and you get all the results that contain those words. Google (a world-class "search function") works the same way. No search engine will give exactly the one thing, and only that one thing, that you're searching for.

Johnny, if you have a better solution (instead of just a smart-alec remark), we'd love to hear it. Maybe you can spend some time writing the code for the perfect search engine instead of complaining about the one we have?
