KingThorvar Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 I'm trying my hand at a rusty gem. First, I lowered it to an acceptable stance. Then some black primer. Rusty base with some ivory color. Didn't turn out exactly as I expected, but hopefully it's the right ballpark.
DumpyDan Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Nice, I really like where your going with this. Keep it coming.
rmvw guy Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 I'm watching this one with interest. I've been working on this same build only shiny. I may be switching teams after watching yours, please keep it going! Looks good so far.
Dr. Cranky Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Long live the SALT! Great job on the effect so far. Keep it going, it's going to be a wonderful ride!
62rebel Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 ummmm... the outer rear fenders on a Cameo pickup are fiberglass and do not rust.
Bartster Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 True the 'glass, but what a great realistic contrast it would make. Dull, faded paint, busted holes in the fiberglass riding behind a rusted out cab! Awesome!
wraith Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I will be watching! I have old gluebomb of this same kit that I amgoig to do the same thing with .
