chris coller Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Looking to remove decals that were already applied to a model and reuse them. Ii seems as though I got ahead of myself. I put the decals on in the wrong spot on the doors and need to seperate them. What can I use to lift/loosen them with out damaging them for reuse?
Eshaver Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 (edited) Chris , I'm not aware of anything that can lift off the decal film in one piece . Ed Shaver Edited January 20, 2012 by Eshaver
62rebel Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 short answer, NO. decals are, for all intents and purposes, paint that has already been 99% applied. once you apply them to the model, that's it. you can't remove them intact for reuse.
Darin Bastedo Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 What kit are you building. there is a chance that one of us might have the decals you need that we aren't using.
chris coller Posted January 20, 2012 Author Posted January 20, 2012 I am using Speedline's Corvette Sebring decals. The white version. I got them cheap and wanted to just paint the body up to sell on ebay as project car. If you have them that would be awesome. If not it's off to Strada Sports I go. Thanks for the input guys.
