I hope this is the right section for this post

I finally was able to try my new badger 200 out today with tamiya red acrylic , i thinned it 1.1 and i thought the results were good but when i went to clean out the brush i used hardware bought paint thinner and it didn't work it just seemed to seperate is there a alternative to thinning tamiya acrylic and model master enamel other than buying there own brand which as you know is very pricey , i know this will be a no brainer to you guys but i am new to this air brush thing thanks in advance

Actually cheap laquer thinner for both.

Tamiya's own Laquer Thinner is great for their acrylic paint, but is still nowhere to be be found. It's also expensive.

I have never tried laquer thinner for acrylic paint. Does it work better than Isopropyl alcohol?

In my opinion, yes. It doesn't dry as fast, so the finish is super smooth. Not all laquer thinners are compatible. I use "Klean Strip" medium drying Laquer Thinner from Home Depot.
