I am using a MAD dual distributor on a radical custom. I can't find any reference pics to help with set up & wiring. I really thought I could look at it & figure it out. any ideas?

Not Sure what a "Mad" dual distributor is. I'm assuming it's a dual plug hemi. Each clyinder had 2 plugs. This was something the Chrysler Pro Stock drag guys used in the early 70's. Like all neat ideas NHRA outlawed them for competition after a time. The engine according to the rules allowed a certain amount of engine setback measured from spark plug to spindle centerline. This allowed the DP Hemi to be set back maybe another inch and a half. Weight transfer means alot in drag racing. Dual distributors actually Magnetos are still used in Alcohol and Nitro engines because of the burn rates of the fuel among other things.

Wire each distributor using the firing order for a hemi. 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2, Left Bank 1-3-5-7, right bank 2-4-6-8.

Thanks guys, this helps a ton! Thought I bit off more than I could chew, but this should do it. MAD = Morgan Automotive Detail, www.madmodeling.com. Excellent parts, quick service. Kris Morgan is a member here.
