Just wondering if the Pete frame would work for the KW.

I have a Watkins W925 that is missing the frame rails and other pieces (do have the rear suspension though) and all the chrome but the grill.

Want to build the KW more than the Pete!

If it wokes fine otherwise I'm looking for a parts kit for the KW.

There might be a bit of adjusting needed.

Keep in mind that the wrecker body is too wide to look right without modifying the overall width.Take 1/8 inch off the left and right sides (for a 1/4 total)from the floor. The front panel and rear panel will need to be reduced also. This modification brings the body in a bit so that it doesn't overhang the tires so much. AMT seemed to have over-scaled the width on the body.

Thanks Tim! I actually was asking because I want to build the KW and wondered if the frames were the same. The Pete kit came to me with a hood modification started and I didn't want to try and finish that mess. I could not find another hood and grill so I got hold of a partial KW kit and was going to use the Pete frame.

I remember from another thread you expaining the wrecker bed width problem and have kept your fix in the back of what's left of my mind!

I am going to use the wrecker bed on another truck eventually. Or use it for trading stock! ;)
