mp_101airborne Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 my newest build and i wanted to do this one since the begining... read a lot of mopar lit and found out panther pink was only available in 70 as an option... so it was going on either this or a cuda AAR... couldnt get the cuda so it turned out to be a pink challenger and by far my nieces favorite (only cause its pink im assuming)... haha
diymirage Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 love it same issues i always have with these kits (rear roll pan) that cant be fixed without plenty of prep work AND knowledge of the kit before you build it one question though, in the first picture it almost looks like the body needs to drop down another few MM onto the chassis to sit properly ?
mp_101airborne Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 all very true... the chassis sits high and not sure why... all the kit is assembled tight but the body just wont sink and further... yeah ive learned now to tape and mock things up before painting so i get rid of those issues
diymirage Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 sounds like your picking up fast but keep in mind when test fitting things like roll pans that at some point they will need to wrap around the chassis to be honoust, i have cuda kit im working on where i took the liberty to do all the body work and just flex the chassis to fit inside of it...but thats a judgement call, i wouldnt recommend it
whale392 Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Interesting. Just a question, it is a 340 T/A, yet it it packing a 440.....why? No disrespect, just wondering.
diymirage Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 on a side note dodge did come up with a tribute to this iconic colour back in '10 they made a limited edition furious fuchsia challenger just saying
mp_101airborne Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 no 440... just a 340 + 6... that air breather is stock on both 440 and 340... only diffrence is a sticker
ChrisPflug Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 As well as the terribly inaccurate body the die-cast based Revell Challenger advertises R/T and T/A options but only includes a big block engine No 340 is included with the kit The 1/24 ex-Monogram Challenger has a more realistic shape and a small block engine but seems to include incorrect (Barracuda) seats since the '95 AAR 'cuda based on the Challenger kit. The earlier dark red "Metal Glow" releases have the Challenger seats
