XXXfire700 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 im starting a build on the motor for my pulling truck. So i figured id show the build of my attempt at a cummins from mostly scratch. i started with the 41 chevy straight 6. made it wider then added to the top. got a 359 pet semi kit an used the inj. pump an some other parts. built my own zz fab intake. i still have to make the valve covers an a header.
wraith Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be watching this as i have a older dodge truck I want to put a Cummins in!
XXXfire700 Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 thats one reason i wanted to show this build because now a days everyone doing a cummins swap so i figured modelers arnt any different.
tooltas Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 very true too that they dong a alot of them dmaxs too are finding them in old gm trucks too
XXXfire700 Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 idk about that one haven't seen too many durajunks in older chevys more 12v's less wires. same way with the older fords they just use a 12v just easier. its kinda like the chevy small block of the diesel world can be put in about anything.
tooltas Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 did u see the ratrod that had one in it.Its a old dodge or some thing
Chris guthro Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 there was a 50s d150 or 100, what ever it was in ''deisel world''. had the rusted patina look and a 12 valve making 300 horse. it was kinda neat
XXXfire700 Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 so hows them turbos coming find anything lol
