tim_g Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Has anyone ever used clear coat on a windshield?
VW Dave Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 No. Many people use future on their clear parts, but the most I've done is polish them.
Mike Kucaba Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Depending on the clarity & thickness,I'll sand, polish and dip in future.
JunkPile Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Tamiya clear did not harm clear parts on a project of mine. Give it a test on scrap clear part. Good luck
kenb Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I make sure that my clear parts fit right. Then I clean them real well and dip them in Future. After that I put them on a paper towel standing on edge as not to touch the viewing surface, this wicks the excess Future off. Then I cover it with a box lid or anything to keep dust and particles from settling on it. I don't go near it for 2 days. I've done it this way for years. Something brought down from my aircraft modeling days. Ken
