caine440 Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 The Ramchargers book has tons of great reference photos.
Craig Irwin Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 The 64 was a 2% car (wheelbase change limited to 2% of the wheelbase) , the wild cars were 65's. Ten inches forward in the front, 15 in the rear if my memory serves me.
6bblbird Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 (edited) The 64 was a 2% car (wheelbase change limited to 2% of the wheelbase) , the wild cars were 65's. Ten inches forward in the front, 15 in the rear if my memory serves me. The Ramchargers ran 2 sedans for the 1964 season. One was a "stock" wheelbase car for Super Stock Automatic, the other was a "Two Percent" car for A/FX and occasionally B/Gas. The Super Stocker started the season with a Hemi, went back to the wedge when the Hemi did not perform to it's potential. After some more work, the Hemi was re-installed for the rest of the season. The A/FX car was Hemi powered and was successful right from the start, setting the A/FX national record in it's first outing. You can differentiate the 2% car from the Super Stock car by noting the position of the front wheels in the wheel opening. It is obviously moved forward and the fender has a portion removed at the leading edge. More obvious is the lack of a vent window on the 2% car. I have photos of both cars, but unfortunately do not have a scanner. But my guess is that retroguy is looking for the '65 car. WF Edited March 6, 2012 by 6bblbird
retroguy Posted March 7, 2012 Author Posted March 7, 2012 Thanks for all the info guys. I found those links also but doesn't show what I need. I'm looking for eng bay and interior pics, I've already done the body mods and it looks pretty good
