I was thinking of trying to build this in the future i thought about the mack first. but i kinda like this better and it will be easier and cheaper

the amt k-123 with sleeper cut off and alot of plastistruct one thing the sleeper or motorhome parts all straight should be easy to build one big frame stretch!!lol One thing i need is the length of the motorhome part and the wheelbase length so i can scale it down maybe i can get that somehow???

I dont know about that justin look at american trucker tv show website they had a show where they found the mack and towed it to a truck show they are suppose to restore it!! Its all mack from what i see look at www.evilknievel.com theirs pics on there of the mack and speedtv american trucker

I'd love to build that truck as well, some day! If you do decide to build it, I mastered the correct little 17" spoke wheels needed to build the trailer and they are available in resin. The wheels on the tractor can be bought in real aluminum as well.

it had a 318/auto combo

296 wheelbase,notice that the 5th wheel is behind the axle.I believe the measurement is 2 feet behind the rear center line

In 1971 it cost $99,000,$40,000 just for the base tractor.This configuration was a truck/trailer not a tractor trailer

Ty for the link Ben i cant believe they primed the injector pump and that started and it still moves thats insane! Wander what happened to the kw i cant find info on it??? Maybe i will do the mack lol
