Big Daddy
Okay i just finished my 71 hemi cuda and has the best paint and BMF i've did so far, and noticed finger prints in clear coat i used krylon crystal clear and let it dry for 6 days before i attempted to touch it , the prints showed up while i was doing the foil,,What can i use to get rid of the paw prints
Funkster
I would let it dry good (?) and if it isn't deep I would polish it out. If it is deep I would wet-sand it out and then polish it out.
SuperStockAndy
Get rid of the Krylon! Never had good luck with that stuff.
MikeMc
I do agree about no Krylon, but that doesn't solve the problem. Are the prints "on" or "under" the clear? If on top...easy fix...if under, good luck.
BKcustoms
^^^ What Andy said. But to solve the current problem, try using some polishing compound on the prints and see if they level out. Edited March 12, 2012 by BKcustoms

Junkman
Don't do anything. They will go away. If there are still traces left after a month, jsut wax it with model wax.
Rob McKee
This happened to me and I was able to make them go away with another coat of clear.
MikeMc
they are on top of clear As Christian said...He could be correct...most paint keeps shrinking, so most of the issue will level out, I would wetsand the area and reclear if in a hurry. Otherwise dehydrator for 8 hours and polish. next time use some latex gloves when painting.

I do wear latex all the time when painting, the prints showed up doing the BMF prior to final assembly
CadillacPat
Many Rattlecan Clears never really dry. Some remain "soft" forever and are susceptible to heat and cold. I suggest a 2 part Automotive clear for hardnes and durability. CadillacPat
