m3m Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 this is probably in here somewhere so sorry but how do i get a picture under my name in the right corner when i make a post? thanks jeryd.... have a good day!
MrObsessive Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Jeryd, the signature pic has to be somewhere on the 'net for you to post it. For instance, the pic you see under my name I have posted on my Fotki page. Simply copy and paste the addy of the pic in the signature box in your profile.................... hit "Save Changes", and it should show up. One caveat though.........make sure your pic isn't so big that it shifts the board over so far as to be difficult to read posts!
mikelo Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 It is called an "Avatar" in your settings. Just be sure that is is small enough.
ismaelg Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Jeryd, The avatar size limit is 120x120 pixels. Here is a link to a post about them: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4660 And one more thing: There is no dumb question. Dumb is not asking and keep the doubt Regards,
Jason Rothgeb Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 thanks guys for all the help. jeryd Not a dumb question at all Jeryd. It actually was the motivation for me to figure and post an avatar many months after signing up here myself. Now if I could only figure out how to do it on the Randy Ayers board. Fotki does not let you cut and paste the address for the thumbnail pictures even though I can do it with my full size fotki images.
DarylH Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 " Fotki does not let you cut and paste the address for the thumbnail pictures even though I can do it with my full size fotki images." I use my Fotki thumbs for Avatars all the time. Just right click on the thumb to get the properties block. Then copy the url up to the end of .jpg and paste that into the avatar url space.

Thanks Daryl. I'm off to Randy's board to see if this will work for me. It worked like a charm. Thanks again, Daryl
