chevy impala pro mod

im just about done with my jegs pro stock and trying to pic out my next pro mod project.i bought this impala from comp resins and was thinking about building it but i cant find anything on it.slixx has the decal on one of thier sheets but theres nothing on the color.no reference pics anywhere that i could find.comp resins has a few pics but there not much...........anybody got anything on this car?

Louie, I went checking myself & couldn't find anything on that pictured car. However, I did find a site with a '61 Impala supercharged P/M. You can check out this site & see if it'll help you at all : www.bertansracecars.se/docs/engine.asp?nodeid=26 , the car does have a sloped nose which is different from the CR body.

Louie.... that '61 Impala will be a great build. Just as a quick glance of the color from your pic it makes me think of either Sunset Pearl or Tangelo from House of Kolor. I know those aren't probably the exact color but they would look close in my opinion.

are you looking for that specific orange car? or are you referring to the '61 bel air body in general.

Lou, the car pictured is a West Coast pro mod/AA Supercharged car. I haven't been able to find any info. on it other than more track shots. It's not a D'Aprile car. I will keep searching to see if it can be identified.

thanks you guys are very helpfull...yes i was looking for refence pics from the orange car but in the end any will do.......thanks also for the color matches or potential matches...matching colors is very hard for me.im not color blind but i can never get it right.

my apologies lou. it was unclear to me as to whether you were looking for that specific car or just a '61 bel air in general. it is obvious to even a beginner, it's not tommy d'aprile 's car.

thats ok,you were right. i was looking to build that specific car.what i was thinking is if i couldnt find photos of the cars engine and chassis ect.then i could wing it with pics from other 61' bel airs......ive thought alot about doing a phantm build but im always conserned on how it will turn out....i dont have much of an imagination LOL...
