Spray Paint ripples

I just paint my Fiat Altered body and when I sprayed the paint from a rattle can, it started running down the side and "rippled". Can I sand that down so I won't have to strip the paint down again?

Sounds like to sprayed too heavy of a wet coat. Was it enamel or lacquer paint? Depending on how thick the runs are, you may be able to sand it down but you'll most likely have to respray it anyway after sanding it. I'd just go ahead and strip it and respray it.

I can;t remember. Auto store spray paint is all I remember. I may strip it down.

Several light coats is always better than a heavy coat

Thats why I have rattle cans,they just spew paint out as fast as they can.Can't tell you how many bodies have been to the stripper because of Testors one coat or Testors enamel.
