RDean58 Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Painted Tamiya Metallic black with a clear coat. Some of the side chrome is done. This was painless so I hope the rest of it goes as well. I like this color paint, but I can't seem to get a good picture of it. I don't know if the problem is with me or the camera
ismaelg Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Robert, Black is elusive to photograph. Just look at 1:1 car magazines and notice there are very few if any black cars making the cover. It confuses the camera meter and usually overexpose. Try taking pictures in natural daylight (no flash, no bulbs) but not in direct sunlight. Step back a little bit so the car doesn't fill the whole picture and if possible (depending on the camera) aim to an edge of the car or a wheel for metering. Hope this helps... Thanks,
Merkur XR4Ti Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Lookin' good! I built one of these for my father-in-law, who has the 1:1 ride. I enjoyed building it up.
RDean58 Posted June 25, 2007 Author Posted June 25, 2007 Thanks for the advice, I'll try that when I get it done.
