Haubenschild Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 I have had this kit for a while and since I am waiting for parts for other builds I decided to start it. Here is my progress so far
Dr. Cranky Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 That is some bright red. I love it. Perfect eye candy at the right moment.
Haubenschild Posted April 26, 2012 Author Posted April 26, 2012 (edited) The body is fully painted. I am also aware of the tape marks on the roof , what should I do to remove them? Edited April 27, 2012 by Haubenschild
TooOld Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 That's a real beauty ! ! Wish I could find one . Can't help much with the tape marks . I had the same thing happen to me once and tried everything I could think of without damaging the paint with no luck . After a month or so I guess the glue had dried enough that it practically rubbed right off ! Somebody here must have a solution .
LoneWolf15 Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 The tape marks can be removed with a bit of Novus 2 on a piece of soft t shirt , it will remove the residue without hurting your finish.
Haubenschild Posted April 26, 2012 Author Posted April 26, 2012 Thanks for the tip MM ultra gloss enamel clear has been shot on to the body and roof
Guest JamesDE Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Nice work... Also, tape marks can be removed with lighter fluid.... Sounds harmful, but it works and won't mess up your paint.....
GeeBee Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Very nice work, I do have a liking for Chrysler's, so you've got my attention, looking forward to seeing more of the build
Haubenschild Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 Thanks for the comments guys! The roof has been foiled
bbowser Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Awesome paint. Love this, foiling ought to be tedious
Bartster Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 The body is looking very fine. I don't envy the foiling you have ahead!!
