Ray,

The Autocar is coming along nicely. I'm just waiting for the decals from Dan Poulin and then I can finish it off completely. I dodged the rain showers this morning and took a few photo's.

Thanks for looking!

PS. How are you coping with the price of Diesel!!!! £1.20 a litre here in Britain thats equivalent to $9.08 a US Gallon and its 80% Tax.

Good to hear you made progress on it. I started a few, finished none. LOL.

It's that much!!!!!!!!!!! Wow!

I'm doing ok, though. I have a different truck now, one that I trust. The T600's constant breakdowns put me behind and I let it go back. If you add up the lost time I had in '07, it's almost 3 months of time. That's what hurt me. Even with the price where it is now, it wouldn't be so bad if I had a more dependable truck last year. Thankfully though, my pickup and most past debts were paid off. I promised myself after sitting in that hotel room for almost 7 weeks that I would catch up my bills and pay everything off in case it happened again. I did, but, still, the money never comes back when you sit that long. I don't blame Kenworth, or Cummins. After all, it was the warranty people dragging their feet that made things so bad. We all end up with at least one lemon in our lifetime, and that was mine. Overall, I'm not even bitter.

I was knocked down but I'm not out. You will now find me in a 2000 Pete 379, powered by a Cummins N14-525 with an 18 spd. Oppurtunity knocked, and I jumped at it. Minus one or two bugs, which every truck has, this truck has more than proven itself dependable. It is an absolute pleasure to drive. Here she is with two US Army generators and storage containers. They were sold off as surplus.

Ray,

Thats a nice looking truck. Do you have any other photo's? A lot can be said for buying an older vehicle. There are risks attached to it but when you compare the price of a used truck to brand new there are big savings to be made. Especially if you can get a truck with a big engine, chances are it won't have been flogged to death and will still be good for many miles to come. Its good to here that youre getting on top of things. Good Luck and drive safely!!

PS how is that Freightliner cab over coming on the one with the engine under the frame?

I have a couple of others, but my camera broke, so any photos you see with a trailer, like the one above, are courtesy of my cell phone cam.

As to my Freightliner, it's going slow. I haven't been able to touch it for awhile, but I did find another pic of one on Hank's site. I need to find some more parts as I'm trying to avoid a raid of parts from fresh kits if I can help it. But anyway, we'll see what I can come up with.

Here are a few pix including some that the dealer emailed me. The one with the trailer is from my phone.
