Dr. Cranky Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Boy, now you are turning up the heat. These are going to look great. A little body work should do it.
zaina Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 everything is lookin great. is that a buick body with that grille in it or is it something else and where did you get it? been thinking about getting a buick grille and putting it into a hudson.

Dr. Cranky Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 It might be a tight fit, but it's looking good, and I hope you finish this one soon. Keep it going, Mr. B.
bryan_m Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 (edited) Andy: yea that merc has a buick grille, hood and side trim.... i believe its a jimmy flintstone, I got it from DR CRANKY a few years ago........ Virgil, you remember where it came from?? John: thanks, i appreciate that, glad you like my sites too! my site " bryans modeling corner" still has a long way to go, i havent added anything to it for almost 2 years with the exception of the tire tutorial.... i see youre in western pa as well.........you close to me? the biggest town around me would be Uniontown.......and pittsburgh is like 30 miles from here. Virgil: thanks buddy, i think im gonna have to go with the caddy engine from the 49 merc kit on this one, ill save this ardun flatty for the next 32 ford ratrod i do...gimme a call ill be here until my son picks me up later, he just got a new job, and has to cut his hair..............which is over 3 feet of pony tail!! LOL i should have planned this build out a little better, and i wouldnt have these fit problems, but its nothing i cant fix! im at the bench this morning, gonna try to get something done before my neck and back start hurting......... i usually get 2 hours after i wake up before that starts bothering me ....... thanks again guys! cheers Bryan M Edited May 11, 2012 by bryan_m
Dr. Cranky Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Bryan, that body and grill came from The Modelhaus. I believe it is still available.
bryan_m Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 well, its taken me an hour and a half to mask this interior for the second color! at first i was gonna go with yellow, but im gonna use gray. what a pain it was to mask this........i hope it comes out ok. its been a while since i have done one like this, that didnt have multiple parts. being all one tub really makes it harder to mask.. time to squirt some paint.........stay tuned. thanks for lookin! bryan m
Dr. Cranky Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 This type of masking is time consuming, but it will get you good results. Can't wait to see it.
