The finish on that '50 Buick is astounding! Who produces that kit?

BTW, since cars are art forms, there's nothing wrong with getting "arty" with your photos. It creates a mood. There is something special about the way a car looks at night: at rest, yet "alive". Ewaskew, try creating a wet pavement look for these kinds of shots.

Good example, PlasticMom. There's not much difference between a car shot at night or against a black background, as you can see in the link below. You still have to light it. Sunset shots are a whole different thing (and also require fill lighting to see detail). The big question is, how arty do you want to get? As far as the interests of this forum are concerned, we want to see the details of the build.

This shot is cool, not very descriptive, but at least it depicts the essence of the styling. I think the top of the car must be highlighted.

The answer is as "arty"as you want.

If YOU want to see build details go to the on the workbench or under glass section this is the general section where people can get as "arty" as they like regardless of details. If art has no place on this forum then all builds should be out of the box and there should not be a community build project based on auto art work.

I have thought about the wet pavement look.

After seeing the many different ways that people are going with this,it gives me and others good tips and ideas on how to do it from time to time.
