Tom Setzer Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 I actually got a little work done on preping my Traditional Chopped T, inspired buy Bad News as seen on Rides. This is the first work I have been able to do this year!
rmvw guy Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I would like to see some pictures. I just started on mine being inspired by "Bad News" also. I've been searching all over the internet today for pictures. I cut out the top and painted the body so far. The engine he had was an Olds Rocket I think and maybe a chopped '32 grill. I'll be watching yours.
Tom Setzer Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 My T is inspired by Bad News, but it will not be a copy! I am using an early Nail Head Buick in it.
rmvw guy Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I had the same idea with a nailhead believe it or not. There is an issue with the starter sticking out too far for the Model T frame. It's an old parts box engine from the AMT '40 Ford I believe. I guess it could be trimmed off and a new mini starter installed. Just wondering if you had a better plan?
Tom Setzer Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 I plan to use a cast resin Nail Head, From The Parts Box company in Australia. It is a real good engine!
