Any Ideas?

Hey ya'll. I got this car here:

Although mine is same color and all it has seen better days. Missing mirrors, hub caps etc.

Body and interior outside of chipped and scratched paint is good. I am throwing around the idea of turning it into a Yenko with same color scheme. Or a Z28 in Victory Red and white.

WHat is the best way to strip the paint and repaint. Just like a 1:1 car?

I figure I will buy a 1:24 Camaro kit to scavenge parts. I hate to have this car look like this since I paid 100 bucks 8 years ago and the suspension and driveshaft are all functional. Detail is awesome too. Thanks for lookin.

If you have access to the equipment, blasting is the fastest, cleanest way; a buddy of mine has a cabinet in his shop devoted to aluminum oxide media, and it strips diecasts like there's no tomorrow. The surface is left ready for paint or primer, and there's no chance of chemical stripper residue weeping out of crevices and ruining the paint.

You can buy a mini bead blaster. It is pretty much the same as a air brush. See if you can buy some glass polishing beads in a small amount, maybe a 5 pound can or something.
