TooOld Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Okay . Here is my unofficial comparison test . I didn't have any spoons so I used the tops off of spray cans . They were gloss black plastic so I didn't paint a base coat of black . On the left is Rustoleum Chrome . In the center is Spaz Stix Ultimate Chrome . On the left is the plated top off the Rustoleum . As you can see in the reflections , the Spaz Stix looks pretty good ! That is 4 light coats , waiting a few minutes between coats . I thought I ruined it with the fourth coat , It got a white frosted appearance to it . When it dried I was surprised that it wiped right off . In fact I was able to buff it with a soft cloth , so durability doesn't seem to be a problem . I ordered it on Friday and recieved it today via Fedex , so shipping is great . And the 3.5 oz can appears to be almost twice the size as a standard Testors 3 oz can . That probably doesn't mean a thing . Is it worth the $22.86 I paid for it ? I'll have to use it on a couple of resin bumpers first , then I'll decide . I've spent that much on different goodies in the past and gotten burned . At least I don't feel that way this time . BOB .
crazyjim Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I ordered through Amazon and they arrived today. Got 2 of the 3.5oz spray cans for $25.00 delivered.
tabsscale1 Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 These are painted with Testors Gloss black then shot with the Spaztix chrome. Look better than the Alclad I did on them the first time.
sak Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 You have to remeber the amount of paint that you very putting on is super thin. It will rub off in time if you handle it too much. best not to touch it at all.
