brodie_83 Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 I bought a 1/12 1969 Camaro kit on eBay last week and the only thing the guy said was that the roof was cracked...which I thought "big deal, I can fix that"...guess again. The body is warped/twisted and not sure how I can go about fixing it. I really want to build this kit, but this factor is worrying me. Does anybody have a fix for this? I'd post pictures, but my Photobucket is being stupid.
SuperStockAndy Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Quit putting too much torque to it!! You can try using a hair dryer (but not so much that it MELTS the plastic) and twisting it back that way, or you can use hot water (not boiling).
Guest Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 I heat bodies with a hair dryer if needed, but only if needed. You can twist a body or chassis a lot before they will break. I just twist them more than needed so that when they spring back, they're where they should be. The only time I use heat is if the part won't hold it's shape. Nine times out of ten, they will hold their shape.
