Anyone know of a better, beefier tire to fit the Hoppin Hydro's Slim Twentys?

I love several of the wheel styles but to my eye they need a taller sidewall tire, especially under pickups. Anyone have any luck in the past with this issue?

Ive thought of it many times, but never gotten around to it. if you dont have any on hand to try, I will be home from work ( 18 hours away) late tomorow night and I can do a test fit; and let you know how they work.

Aoshima tires maybe. I know some of them had a little bit of a bigger sidewall. The only problem there is, actually gettin the just the tires for a decent price.

Left is HH tire, right is Aoshima tire. Little bit of a difference, but not much.

James for some strange reason I could not see the picture until I quoted you to reply . Weird!

I also have these. They're from the Tamiya Celica. They're quite a bit smaller than the HH wheels, so they have to be stretched over them. So unless you plan to have them cast in a soft rubber they may be no help. They're also a little narrower.

James,

My thought is to find the tire that works the best width and sidewall.

If it has to be stretched to fit the wheel I will use an insert (brass tube or something similar) to hold the size while the mold is being made. If the ID is too small for the wheel it can be trimmed to fit.

Thanks for the info
