Has anybody applied dupont clear over testors lacqour?

Has anybody applied dupont clear over testors lacqour? And if so how did it turn out. I test painted a hood panel and decided not to use clear, just wet sand and polish it out and seemed to me to have a bad reaction to the mequires. I dont know how to describe it. Like it slightly softened the paint. Like just touching it after I polished it left fingerprint marks that only more polishing would remove. Never had this problem with clearcoat.
