That's a cute little machine, but a watchmaker is going to use a real European watchmakers' lathe and a hobbyist will want to use something that has more options. Sherline and Taig lathes are far and away superior to this nano lathe.

I have to agree with the Sherline. I was looking at other brands (Chinese) and settled on a Sherline, due to the preference on this board. I have had it about six months now and just love it.

I was over at the Taig factory so to speak its in a very nice home with a large steel building on the property .you would never guess they make anything there .
