FASTBACK340 Posted June 23, 2012 Author Posted June 23, 2012 Animals as Leaders... I'll give `em a listen. Thanks for the heads-up. Speaking of hard rock, last night I went and saw Iced Earth (sucked...) Hell Yeah (a favorite) and a surprise head-line act: Volbeat. Those guys are a great mix of Rockabily-punk-metal-R&R. Great show. Volbeat had to stop at one point to ask the crowd to mellow in the pit. 4 brawls broke out and security had their hands full. My friend took his 10yr. old to his first concert last night. We sat in the balcony watching the carnage from a safe distance. It was a great show!

Agent G Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Let's see, I've eaten breakfast with Carrot Top, and watched Monday Night Football with Penn and Teller. I always made a point of saying hello to Mike Tyson while performing club checks, he's too busy lately for the club scene now. Jimmy Buffet was in the office a few months ago, he obtained his gaming liscense for a new venture. Until he got married and moved I corresponded with Karl Logan of Man o' War. The band took off in Europe so he spends most his time there. I met Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George Bush, and Pope John Paul while working. All were actually pretty nice to me. They had to be, I was the EOD coordinator. G
Jon Cole Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 I was wondering what “EOD” stood for. So I Google’d it. It’s either Employee & Organizational Development, or Explosive Ordnance Disposal. So, did you frisk the pope?
Agent G Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Nope, as far as I was concerned His Holiness could do anything he wanted. What he wanted, was to meet Mark Macguire. So two detectives drove to his condo and brought him downtown to meet the Pope. Yes EOD is explosive ordnance disposal. I worked on the bobm squad or quite a few years, it was a blast! G
FASTBACK340 Posted June 26, 2012 Author Posted June 26, 2012 Wow... sure Trump's my night out. The Pope? That's up there.
Agent G Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Actually meeting Pope John Paul in '99 was the highlight of my career. I'm a Jew, but hey, the Pope?, He's da man. G
