Mr. Can Am Garage Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Someone over at SA asked so I thought I'd share at two places. Good way to kill two birds with one stone IMHO. My rotisserie is scratchbuilt from a couple of sizes of K&S Brass tubing and soldered together. It was also my first time soldering. Like a 1:1, it's positionable. It's also adjustable for different sized car bodies. Yeah. I know. There's no wheels and that's because I haven't come up with a suitable solution to that problem yet. Here's the set of plans I drew up before I ordered any K&S.
MrObsessive Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 WOW! What a neat device! I think you're the first person I have ever seen build something like that in scale! It would also make it an excuse for me as to why the whole bottom of the chassis is also painted.

Hopefully, I'll get to them this winter and yes, I know it's just starting on summer.

Mr. Can Am Garage Posted June 14, 2006 Author Posted June 14, 2006 wheels: caster wheels from the fujimi tools set ought to do or from their 356 porsche enthusiasts kit motor stand. That would work. I have but one set and I've gotta get some rubber and resin. man thats your first time soldering? ever? Yup. Yup. I was told I was a fast study last time I tried learning a new set of skills. SlipMahoney Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 As always John, your work is top drawer. I've been thinking of putting together a pair of ramps to go under my '41 Willys. I've got to do something with all that angle iron left over from doing the rear deck rack for the Sheridan.
bjscustommodels Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 that was me who asked about it thanks for the info

At one point, they had some nice sets of NASCAR tools in our scales. One of the sets includes a set of ramps. GMP Diecast also has a set of tools that includes a set of ramps. If you just want ramps, R&D unique will be happy to sell you a set. In all three cases, they're all diecast. I have sets from both GMP and WM.
