I snagged some interesting info over Father's Day

Every year since Michael's stores have been around they have always had a make and take event over Father's Day weekend.

They issued an update on how that event went.

They were hoping to boost their model kit sales 5%. Sales were up 30%. This gave them a 23% increase in sales over last year.

To them this meant approximately 20,000 model kits sold in 14 days. Each Michaels store averaged 20 model kits per store sold.

I thought that was a quite a big deal as far as our hobby is concerned. Approximately 1429 kits per day.
